Another Look at the Welcome Experience?
Please join us on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, via Zoom for this free interactive session with Bill Reynolds and Mike Mayer with Experiential Interpretive Design (EID). The webinar will begin at 9am (PDT)/10am(MDT)/11am(CDT)/Noon(EDT)/4pm(GMT) and will last no more than 90 minutes.
Along with some new ideas from Bill and Mike, this 2nd Webinar on the Welcome will look at some thoughts on the pre-arrival sequence and find out what ideas participants from the first session have started to implement. In addition we received some topic ideas from a few folks…such as:
· Ways to incorporate a Welcome into infrastructure and security at sites.
· How to keep the Welcome relevant and fresh if there is frequent staff turnover?
· What are some Welcome techniques to use at sites that are not staffed on a regular basis.
· Are there ways to set welcoming expectations for visitors before they arrive at a site?
We hope you will bring your ideas and experience to this interactive session.
To register for this webinar please send an email to contact@eidcoaching.com by Thursday, March 23 to receive the Zoom link. Please share this information with others you think may be interested in attending. We are limiting attendance to 25 people to allow for more interaction.

And while we have your attention…
Here are a few topics we have found that you might enjoy reading about Welcomes, Emotion in Interpretive Techniques and a new certification for Earth Guides.
1. Our colleague and co-founder of EID, Lars Wohlers, sent us this link about how a Welcome can be good for the visitor and good for the bottom line.
2. Another Interpretive planner we follow, Don Enright, had this excellent piece on the emotional power of what is spoken and not spoken. This was very touching indeed.
3. Finally, The Institute for Earth Education’s School of the Earth is offering a new certification experience for outdoor leaders in June. For more details and how to sign up for this training check out the website below.
